About Sue, Greg and Maranatha Arabians

Susie Thompson and Greg Hager have a love for Arabian horses. This married duo has worked hard to raise good minded horses that they enjoy.

Susie's love of horses started over 50 years ago. The Arabian became her passion over 40 years ago. Susie had shown her Arabian mare Razea in many Arabian shows. Then came Razea's filly, Danzer. Susie and Danzer hit the Class A circuit showing English, Western, Side-Saddle, Costume and Halter. From this little bay filly, Danzer came Maranatha; Class A Western Pleasure winner who was giving riding lessons at age 25! Everyone misses Maranatha, she was a highlight in the barn. Susie and Greg have trained and showed 5 generations of offspring from Razea's lines.

Susie credits her love and much of her knowledge of horses to her dad, Walt Thompson. Walt also showed and bred Arabians. For many years, Walt hauled Susie to riding lessons and shows and was always in the back ground. He was definitely the wind beneath her wings.

Susie and Greg moved to the Willamette valley in 2005 from Brookings Oregon so they could be more centrally located for showing and enjoy their private ranch located in the Lebanon/Scio area.

They enjoy their handful of Arabians and their Sweepstakes Nominated stallion, Driftwood Bey. They have produced quality purebred horses out of bloodlines such as Bask, Aristo Kossak, Gafizon, Bey Shah and Huckleberry Bey. They enjoy showing these fine horses.

Susie's life-long love of horses encouraged her to pursue a career in judging. She has been judging and is a carded AHA Judge, Large R USEF Western Judge, USEF judge (since 1990), Large R Arabian Judge, and Friesian Judge.

Susie and Greg enjoy working with their horses, riding, showing and even the trail.
